  1. Thirty five years ago, the movie “Che” was brought to Miami Beach, in spite of objections from the exile community. While Cubans protested on the sidewalk outside, septuagenarian Zacarias Acosta, the former mayor of Guanabacoa, carried a concealed handgun inside the theater. When the image of Che appeared, Acosta stood up and began shooting at the screen. No one was injured but all hell broke loose. If Acosta were still alive, I would have paid the $225 ticket for him to have attended Sting’s concert.
