While we wait for the official Cuban government announcement on the demise of the cadaverous blogger dictator in chief and while we wait the next chapter in the Oscar Corral novela to develop and while we wait for that plethora of Cuban-Americans – whose opinions do not coincide with those of the official Miami Mafia – that we keep hearing about ad nauseum to start a grass roots campaign and get themselves some new government representatives whose ideals are more in line with theirs, let’s do a little reading, shall we?
– Two excellent posts at Blog for Cuba: Cuban rafters Describe their Journeys and Cubans on Hunger Strike in Guantanamo
– Child of the Revolution reports on Juventud Rebelde’s groundbreaking journalistic series: How to use your chinese rice cooker.
– Cuba Watch reports on prejudice, bigotry and revisionist history.
– The Real Cuba has more on the Guanatanamo hunger strikers as well as Cubans watching Willy Chirino.
– Uncommon Sense: If it’s summer, it’s rainy and if it’s rainy you get standing water and if you get standing water, in Cuba, that nasty old non-existent according to the Cuban government Dengue fever rears its ugly head.
– Alberto de la Cruz: Un poco de cafe, un poco de leche y un poco de azucar.
– Brandon’s Puppy: How smart are you?
– La Contra Revolucion: Ahem…Boobs
– Ninety Miles Away: Cuban Pulp Fiction.
– Tomas Estrada Palma: Paypal to Cuba?
– YucaBaby: Oooo miiii colegio Champagnat...
– My Big Fat Cuban Family: The Crystal Anniversary.
