I’m glad to be the first to comment, George. I have a 5.1 Cerwin Vega system with a 15″ sub-woofer that I pieced together gradually as I could afford it. I can play “Won’t Get Fooled Again” loud enough for the whole neighborhood to hear it.
I have a penchant for baroque music played on original instruments. My favorite new recording is that of Vivaldi’s “Gloria in excelsis deo” sung and played by the King’s Consort.
I also have many recordings by the Academy of Ancient Music. I saw them live once, too. Go see ’em if you can.

do you have the means to transfer vinyl recordings to digital?
I wouldn’t mind transferring our old band recordings to digital since I don’t have a turntable and don’t plan on getting one. heck I don’t even play cd’s anymore. I download everything. sick, huh?
