  1. If its Romney then in the background I hear the munchkins breaking out in song. “Ding dong the witch is dead”. Laugh a little. Its good for the soul.

  2. He did the right thing.
McCain can win against the Dems. Mitt simply can not, he noticed that himself, if not he’d still be in the race tonight.
maybe he’ll be VP. God knows…
anything in politics can occur such in life.

  3. He just solidified his 2012 position as Front Runner for the Nomination and the Man to Beat in the Election….that is, if he doesn NOT agree to be McCain’s Veep and running mate (Reagan didn’t in ’76, and he whalloped Carter four horrendous years later…).
I personally think that Romney won’t accept, and that “the Maverick” won’t ask.

  4. Oh I agree completely with the first part. Romney quit the race but I don’t think he’s given up on being president. I suspect McCain is going to be pulverized in November especially if Obama is the nominee. I don’t thin McCain would offer Romney a spot on the ticket in a million years. The hatred is too deep and McCain is a hateful guy. Huckabee has been lobbying for the job all along and has been McCain’s wingman throughout. If he gets the nod then there’s no chance of my voting for that ticket.
The smart move is for McCain to give Thompson the nod. Thompson is the favorite of much of the conservative base that despised McCain. He also adds geographic balance to the ticket. Also McCain would be the oldest president ever elected for a first term as president which means his V.P. needs to be a serious guy who could take on the big job if necessary. Dan Quayle types need not apply. Thompson certainly fits the bill in that respect. I think McCain likes Thompson and Thompson did not go after McCain in the campaign. If Thompson had one flaw in his record it was voting for that abomination of campaign finance reform.

  6. The ticket will be McCain/Huckabee. You watch and see. McCain will try to get the ultra-conservative religious right with that move and will probably get it.
