Henry,
I have been away for awhile due to issues with my original sign in account. It dawned on me to create a new one.
I must say I mostly agree with you on Mccain, and most of your views.
Still, and you cannot deny this, with all due respect, that a non-vote for Mccain will help Chebama or Hillarbitch get elected. As bad as Mccain may be, take a good, very long look at the alternative!!!! Do you really want to see the real Dems in power? c’mon.
If the ideological war were going to end after the 2008 election I might be inclined to agree with you. But a McCain presidency is a setback in the ideological war. Imagine 4 years of liberal McCain followed by 8 years of Obama. We’d be at 2020 before we would have a chance to put a conservative in the White House.
McCain is not going to energize anyone. He’s an older nastier and more liberal version of Bob Dole in 1996.

Henry,
You are completely entitled to your viewpoint. And I too share some concerns over Mccain.
He teamed up with Kennedy, Feingold, etc.
Still any man that has been through what he has for his country deserves some measure of respect and at least the benefit of the doubt in my book.
I am willing to give him a chance. Sorry, I just can’t stomach the thought of either of the Dems in power. I am worried about the here and now. A lot can happen after the next 4 years – much of which may not be within your control. What is in your control is your vote.
Anyway, let’s hope for the best.
McCain is not running for president of the Vietnam vets association. Screw him.

If Chebama or Hillarbitch are elected, we will totally screw ourselves I am afraid..
If you’ve been paying any attention to the primaries then you know that Democratic turnout has been twice as high as Republican turnout in most states. What does that tell you?
Our chances of winning this election were slim going into it. We needed to nominate a dynamic conservative leader with vision. Instead we settled on the most liberal, nastiest, most egotistical candidate we had.
John McCain has never uttered a word to inspire me and he will not inspire Americans. That’s an unfortunate fact that our fellow Republicans should have taken into account before voting for the party traitor.

You may very well be correct in your observations about Mccain. The reality is, this is what we have. The nomination is virtually his.
Unless a miracle happens and Reagan gets resurrected from the dead, this is what we have, and while I really do agree with you he is suspect as a candidate, I will do all in my power to prevent an even worse scenario… Obama/Hillarbitch in power. Higher taxes, hobnobing with the Cuban regime, working against the freedom of Cuba. At least Mccain has made clear his stance on Cuba. You mentioned he was interested in joining the Kerry ticket. I am curious to see the links detailing this.
Even with all the crap that Mccain has done, he is the hand we have been dealt. Mccain will also not have flags of Che evident in his campaign offices.
Anyway, I am glad to be back, even though we have these occasional disagreements.
Have you noticed that all reps, the balaz-diart bros and Lehtinen all support Mccain?
Let me ask you this Henry. I ask you to describe what you think will happen in regards to Cuba if either of the DEMS get elected. They both say they support the embargo but to what extent?
Still, there is another side of me that tells me that Obama has no chance to get elected. Americans are basically conservative and as his far left views become known, in a general election he will have no chance. Just my gut feeling even though he is the darling of the MSM and Europe.
I truly enjoy participating in this forum with those that share in my core beliefs…You guys are the greatest…
