Hillary comes back, Obama under scrutiny

I’m getting a vicarious thrill out watching the Dems beat each other up. It looks like Hillary is the winner tonight though she’s not going to pick up a lot of delegates to make up the gap that she has to make up. I’m sure McCain is praying for Hillary to win the nomination as he’s consistently polled better against her and her high negatives as opposed to Obama who he hasn’t done so well against in head to head polling.
And speaking of Obama, the media has finally begun to examine his record and see if there’s any “there” there. Two words: empty suit.
Obama’s big claim to fame is that he didn’t vote for the Iraq war while Hillary did. Of course he wasn’t in a position to vote for or against it because he was in the Illinois State Senate at the time. Nobody likes a Monday morning quarterback and that’s exactly what he is. What has he accomplished? Look, I’m no fan of Hillary and Dick Morris claims she’s more dangerous because she has no scruples but I don’t know. I think a mesmerizing socialist with a forked tongue is more dangerous than an unscrupulously ambitious Clinton that everyone is wary of.

  1. Not another Clinton Henry not..this presidential campaign is so predictable it is really funny
it is clever to say that THE REPUBLICANS WILL NOT WIN in 08 , THE SAME WAY THAT RAUL CASTRO WILL REMAIN IN POWER FOR THE NEXT 6-12 YEARS
    ANY DOUBTERS, CMON SHOOT?

  2. While it is absolutely appalling that a major political party can offer the country no better than a choice between the Clintons and Obama, Obama is absolutely unfit for the job, dangerously so–at least as unfit as JFK was and proved to be. The difference is that Obama’s ideology is clearly to the left of Kennedy’s. The mere fact that he had the hubris to aspire to the White House at this point speaks volumes. He’s not even remotely ready to be president, much less under the current global circumstances.

  3. As I read in the news how women faint at Obama rallies, I can’t help but think of one thing: “Beware of false prophets”
This week he got caught saying one thing to the US and another to the Canadian government. He doesn’t flip flop he double talks.
Like you Henry I am getting a kick out of this fight. And more of a kick to see how the media, NBC in particular, drool over Obama like some sort of messiah and stab the Clintons in the back. She deserves everything she’s getting, yet Obama does not deserve half of what he is getting.
My mother in law, here on a visit, says she believes McCain will win. Man I’d pay to see the faces of the Dems if that happens.

  4. Here’s the deal as I see it. Obama is the worst of the two but easier to beat in the general election. While I am not a big fan of McCain we cannot afford the Clintons in office again.
    Comments, insults and beer welcome.

  5. I agree with rrrod. While Obama is certainly an “empty suit,” I shudder to think of THAT WOMAN getting anywhere near the White House again.

  6. The media is no better than the Hollywood crowd, desperate to be seen as superhip and supercool. It’s a mixture of arrested adolescence, insecurity and stupidity, among other “issues.”
