The Drama Queen

In Fidel’s latest reflection, he takes Cuba’s ex-Minister of Education, Luis Ignacio Gomez Gutierrez, to the revolutionary woodshed, posthumously, since Raúl had already replaced him with Ena Elsa Velázquez Cobiella.
But, in order for fidel to stay relevant, he feels it necessary to turn the replacement of the minister into a full fledged drama where he brags that he was consulted and takes full responsibility for the decision regardless of the reactions or consequences.
One ALMOST has to feel sorry for him.
Once an important man whose words where published in books, newspapers and magazines, world-wide, he now sits alone in an undisclosed location, dying from an undisclosed disease and lashes out at his enemies with the shrill egocentric pettiness of a high school drama queen.
Fate, karma, providence, pure coincidence or nature, as castro contends in his latest reflection, has relegated our favorite bastard to scour the media looking for words that he can parse and twist into self serving reflections and paranoia infused criticisms-even of his own brother. All, in an attempt to save his rapidly diminishing relevancy.
At first, his reflections were published everywhere. Now, in order to garner the attention that the megalomaniac feels he deserves, he has to make increasingly dramatic statements in order to make it into the news and remain relevant.
The tyrant goes on to claim that he was also consulted in the appointment of Leopoldo Cintras Frías y Álvaro López Miera to the State Council and that although they are “mature” they are still younger than “he, who with military rank, is one of the strongest and most threatening candidates for the Empire’s leadership”, (McCain). None of this has made the MSM. Maybe it will tomorrow, maybe it won’t. It’s irrelevant.
Castro goes on to predict that he will be accused by the enemy press of “applying psychological terror”. Imagine. And that the real psychological terror would be the return of the free market system to Cuba which would bring about infinite human and moral suffering” to the Cuban people. That is to say, his brave decision of replacing the Education Minister is going to save the revolution. Not too dramatic.
And speaking of psychological terror, the tyrant signs off by saying “we, the living and the dead will fight on!” Does that mean he plans on haunting us from hell???
What a drama queen!
Men are divided into two groups — those who love and build and those who hate and destroy. — Jose Marti
Clearly the drama queen falls into the latter.

  1. Part of Fidel’s psychopathology is a histrionic personality disorder. He MUST have attention, of any sort, to feed his sense of importance. It’s always been like this, only now his circumstances make it more clearly ridiculous than formerly.
