T-minus 2 days

In a little over two days the doors to Cuba Nostalgia 2008 officially open and thus the beginning of our fourth year in attendance at the event. (A huge thanks to those that have helped out with their donations – without you all it would not be possible.) We’ve got a great group of people – as always – helping out at the booth and we’ll be hosting some great writers and filmmakers throughout the three days of the convention.
The CAMBIO organizers have sent us tons of CAMBIO bracelets and bumper stickers as well as t-shirts that we’ll have available for a small donation to the organization. Id love to see hundreds of folks walking around the convention wearing their bracelets as well as t-shirts, showing their support and solidarity with the cause.
We’ll also be promoting Global Cuba Solidarity Day, hoping to spread the word and get some traction behind this great endeavor. if youre a fellow blogger, I hope you all will join us on this bandwagon, as the more exposure the project gets the better. We’ll also have a dedicated computer for convention visitors to be able to sign the petition for the release of Cuba’spolitical prisoners and hopefully we’ll get a couple thousand more signatures up. If you have yet to sign the petition, please do so now. Pass the link to as many people as you can and ask for their support as well.
This year is the tenth anniversary of the Cuba Nostalgia Convention and the organizers have told me they have some special surprises in store for all so it should be quite a special event. I hope to see and meet many Babalu family members there. We’ll share a hug or two, a tear or two and a bunch of laughs.
