It has something to do with Dr. Carlos J. Finlay and the discovery of the yellow fever. There is a microscope on top of the desk and there are member of the armed forces. The clue comes from Gustavo in Wilmington.
Mom,
Correct. I will post about it tomorrow. Dr. Finlay didn’t discover Yellow Fever. He discovered that it was carried by mosquitoes and specifically a certain type of mosquito. He was laughed at by scientists for 20 years. Finally he found in Dr. Walter Reed (pictured in the gray uniform) someone who listened. There is a great controversy about whether Reed stole the glory from Finlay and Cuba.
