On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes — and I see many of them in the audience here today — our sense of patriotism is particularly strong. [My emphasis]
If the fallen could have been in the audience I’m sure they would’ve spat out their disgust with this commie pretender.
(BTW, the text of the speech on RealClear Politics has had the gaffe excised to protect the guilty.)
(H/T Power Line)
The speech was in the great tradition of John Edwards channeling dead children, so Sen. Obama does soldiers. What’s the BIG DEAL? /s/

The bigger gaffe was in the Q&A that followed:
“I had a uncle who was one of the, who was part of the first American troops to go into Auschwitz and liberate the concentration camps.”
Problem is, the Red Army liberated Auschwitz, not the Americans. This is just a flat out lie he made up.

I see dead people. –Obama
I think those were zombies he was seeing in the audience.
He’s actually beginning to believe he’s the Messiah!
Among the more infamous of the death camps, I think the US Army liberated Mauthausen. I’ll compile a list later tonight and post it.
here’s the latest on his Iran reversal.

Ohrdruf, Buchenwald, Dachau, Mauthausen, among others.
Turns out he meant Buchenwald. Fair enough.
Let’s be frank here: this guy wants to be our president. The left has been howling about Bush’s gaffes for eight years, but now you have this spectacle that is all but unreported except for those of us in the evil alternative media. You have to wonder about a guy who, being a Harvard grad and all, confuses two of the most infamous of the Nazi death camps! Obviously his advisors will now tell him to stick to the script he is given. He’s a tool.
