Obama and Biden, perfect for each other

You know, lately there’s been a lot of speculation that Barack Hussein Obama might choose Senator Joe Biden as his running mate. They really are perfect for each other. Obama is being painted as the next JFK for whatever that’s worth (not much to me) and Biden once plagiarized RFK. And don’t forget Obama himself has engaged in a little borrowing of rhetoric without attribution too.

Ask not what your country can do for you, but what your hard-earned tax dollars can do for us!

And in case you didn’t already know this, Wikipedia sucks. They sanitized the entry for Biden to remove a mention of the RFK plagiarism incident.

  1. Just a couple of … oh, I dunno, Joe Biden quotes that might be of use in a GOP presidential ticket ad … should Sen. Biden indeed become “The One’s” VP running-mate:

    1. “One thing is clear: These weapons must be must be dislodged from Saddam, or Saddam must be dislodged from power.”

    2. “You cannot go to a 7-11 or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent…. I’m not joking.”

    3. “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.” –Sen. Joe Biden on Sen. Barack Obama.

Unless I am NOT recalling clearly enough, #3 did NOT go over very well with Obama … or the supportive mainstream media.

But hey, it all seems to drain down the old memory hole with them.

  2. Henry,

Los dos son una pila de mierda (cual mas mierda que el otro)…..si salen electos vas a ver la cagazon que haran de los Estados Unidos de Norte America.

  4. Henry,

I live in Delaware. This is a hoot. An internet poll from the Wilmington News Journal (www.delawareonline.com)asking if Biden would make a good VP has so far drawn a 50/50 response…in his home state. Shades of Gore in 2000 in his home state.

Also a poll on the website of the nearby Phila. TV station has it 53 to 47 against.

The problem Obama will have is that Biden can talk and talk. He’s a loose cannon. I have heard him speak personally in such a small state.

Also some months back you may remember that commenting on Obama Biden said something like we Democrats have a clean, respectful Black candidate. That was taken as condescending at the time.

And this is such a strategic pick….not. The best spin people here can come up with is that Biden was born in Scranton, PA and will help Obama in PA.

  5. He also plagiarized Neil Kinnick, so there’s a pattern there. I don’t think we’re going to be lucky enough for Obama to choose Biden.

  6. “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.” –Sen. Joe Biden on Sen. Barack Obama.

Unbelievable. Can you imagine what would have happened if a Republican or someone who’s not a card-carrying “liberal” had said anything anywhere close to that comment? The media would still be having major convulsions of outrage and condemnation. These people are TOTAL, incorrigible hypocrites. Again, unbelievable.

  7. I was going to mention the fact he stole from Kinnock – which is hilarious because Kinnock got rocked by Lady Thatcher. You have to question a man who steals speeches from the British equivalent of Walter Mondale and George McGovern
