I have a dream!

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

I have that same dream. Unfortunately we’re not there yet. Perversely, it’s today’s so-called champions of civil rights that would like you to now judge people by the color of their skin.

  1. Oh so right Henry, oh so right. In the perverse swinging of the pendulum, reasoned thought has been the victim.

  2. I have an emotional block and debts to my ancestors that will not allow me to approve of annexing Cuba to the U.S.
However, if the checks and balances of the US hold, and President Obama does not go far left, his mere presence and ethnicity remove the last rational barrier to annexation.
With the last trace of racism removed, perhaps one day Cubans in Cuba and in exile will vote for annexation.
Yet I do not know how to evaluate this possibility
Please tell me how you see it.

  3. I have strong feelings against annexation. They can best be summed up by two words: Puerto Rico.
Seriously, I think Cubans deserve a chance to govern themselves, something that they have not had in 56 years.
And less importantly it gives ammunition to the enemies of this country that will say that the U.S. wanted to annex Cuba all along and that Fidel was merely resisting to preserve Cuban sovereignty.
