Churchill out

The Jawa Report is reporting that a bust of Winston Churchill in the Oval Office has been returned to the UK. As the UK Telegraph reports, it seems that

Churchill has less happy connotations for Mr Obama than those American politicians who celebrate his wartime leadership. It was during Churchill’s second premiership that Britain suppressed Kenya’s Mau Mau rebellion. Among Kenyans allegedly tortured by the colonial regime included one Hussein Onyango Obama, the President’s grandfather.

A bust of Lincoln now sits where Old Winnie was. At least it’s not a bust of Karl Marx…

  1. Removing a bust of Churchill from the Whitehouse,
alleging that President Obama’s grandfather was tortured during the Mau Mau
    rebellion (1952 to 1960)

This makes one wonder if Obama knew that
Churchill was not in power then, or if he approves of oaths taken with
    menstrual fluid, or butchering civilians.

Heck My grandfather (known then as Calixto Enamorado) fought against Spanish forces at Iguara Cuba that
included Churchill sho got a medal in that action, and I never heard any
in the family complain about that.

this is an idiot move because it reveals ignorance and long standing hatred as well as association with a terrorist organization (and don’t tell me that the Mau Mau were “freedom fighters.”

  2. I don’t believe this administration will be very cozy with the British. They’ve already advised the British government that we (meaning the U.S.) will not exchange terrorism information with their government if they persist in using “torture” to get information from detainees.
