Some great comments at Penultimos Dias about the shake up in the regime:

It won’t be long before we see Lage, Perez Roque and Rodriguez telling Maria Elvira Salazar in Miami how terrible the dictatorship is. They have no shame and neither do we for listening to them. Like every time that I see shameless former intelligence agents or a former this or that.

Ladies and gentlemen there are only two possibilities:
1. [f]idel left on his raft;

The pajamas have arrived.
They’re all different sizes.
And nobody should be surprised… these are the hazards of the occupation
This last one is really funny in the original Spanish. It’s said that when these communist bureaucrats are ousted from their jobs that they are on the “pajama plan”. I suppose it’s because they spend all day in their pajamas because they no longer have a job to go to. The bit about occupational hazards is a pun in which the commenter swaps out the word “gajes” for “Lages”. Un gaje del oficio is an occupational hazard but Lage (rhymes with gaje) is the name of one the new members of Cuba’s pajama plan, Carlos Lage.
Yeah, on Haza, Fernando, and Pellizcame too!
They are right about people listening to all these former Fidel/Raul senior advisor and security officials.
If they were that close why didn’t they do anything constructive about it?????
