Why is the Congressional Black Caucus silent about the persecution of Afro Cubans by the Castro regime? Why are Jesse Jackson, Nelson Mandela, and other human rights activists not denouncing this situation? Kudos for the courage and example of Lincoln Diaz-Balart.
Mandela? Are you kidding? He LOVES Fidel Castro and his glorious revolution. As for Jesse, he’s probably busy breaking in a new mistress, I mean, personal assistant.
Instead of worrying about the CBC taking a stand on this issue (there is no Cuban-American on the CBC and I can’t imagine that LDB has been a supporter of the CBC’s other agenda items) we should focus on the silence of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus. Albio is a member of the caucus, and he, Ileana and Bob Menenedez are each members of the CHC Institute–they should ask their fellow caucus members to take a stand on this issue.
