We need healthcare reform NOW!!!!

Hey, chicken little fear mongering Obama sycophants that keep insisting we need to change our healthcare system right this very damned minute or there will be fire and brimstome, dogs and cats living together… complete ANARCHY!!!…why not try a simple, logical and pragmatic approach instead of a complete and total overhaul that will be a complete and total failure?

Simple, logical and pragmatic, CBO (thats the Congressional Budget Office) on the Republican healthcare plan:

The Congressional Budget Office Wednesday night released its cost analysis of the Republican health care plan and found that it would reduce health care premiums and cut the deficit by $68 billion over ten years.

The Republican plan does not call for a government insurance plan but rather attempts to reform the system by creating high-risk insurance pools, allowing people to purchase health insurance policies across state lines and instituting medical malpractice reforms.

“Not only does the GOP plan lower health care costs, but it also increases access to quality care, including for those with pre-existing conditions, at a price our country can afford,” House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, said.

This will fall upon deaf ears, of course, as for this administration it really isnt about healthcare, it’s about taking more and more control over you.

  1. So Val,

No response then to why you’re touting the Republican bill for cutting the deficit when the same organization that you site said the Democrat bill would save more?

  2. Adrian,

Are you really asking that question?

The Periodic Table of Elements should list “Adrianium” as the densest element in the universe.

At a “projected” (remember: “subject to substantial uncertainty”) cost of $1.3 trillion, how can the Democrat Healthcare Bill reduce the deficit more than the proposed GOP alternative?

    Hint: Think April 15th.

  3. Yes, the House plan saves the federal government $104 billion, which is close to 2 times the savings of the GOP plan. However, supporters of the House plan appear to be failing to recognize the simple fact that the cost of the House plan is 20 times more than that of the GOP plan. Who exactly is “buying”? Please refer to Val’s last remark in the comment above this one.

Uh, because the House plan covers more people.

  5. Yes, and why are we covering people who are too IRRESPONSIBLE to cover themselves.

That ’47 million uninsured’ is a crock of shit. An exaggerated, distorted, propagandist figure that falls apart when you dissect real well. Loaded with irresponsible f..ks whose priorities are all screwed up. But then, that’s who the Democrats pander to – the Lazy and Irresponsible.
