Delusions of a liberal

You know what the amazing thing about Democrats and liberals is? Their distorted views of reality. Case in point: A Miami Herald article about White House advisor David Axelrod and how he thinks the GOP is destroying itself.

“You have to wonder if whether that’s a party that’s moving into the mainstream or moving away from the mainstream,” advisor David Axelrod said of Republicans during a meeting with reporters on the eve of the anniversary of Obama’s inauguration.

“I remember when Gov. [Charlie] Crist was being touted by the Republican Party as a national candidate just a couple years ago,” Axelrod said.

This one hell of a bit of wishful thinking on Axelrod’s part. The reason the GOP lost control of congress and the White House is because they strayed from the conservative ideals that served them so well from 1980 – 2000. There is a war inside the Republican party and it pits those who feel we need to differentiate ourselves from the Democrats and their failed socialist policies and those who would emulate them and go along for the ride toward the destruction of our Republic.

Newsflash Mr. Axelrod, you are about to get your ass colossally handed to you in November by a slew of idealistic conservative candidates who unlike your boss have substance to go along with their lofty rhetoric. The fact Axelrod and his ilk won last November is a testament to the lack of leadership that existed in the GOP before the rank and file began to take action. This a real ground-up movement.

Oh and I’m sure that at this point Charlie Crist is really happy about this tacit endorsement by the White House. Looks like the good times are over for Charlie.

  1. David Astroturf is nothing more than Obummer’s chief political hack and spinmeister. Take anything and everything he says with a grain of salt–even if you’re just asking him for the time.
