Well, more accurately, on each coast. Below Ziva reports on west-coast happenings. Now our friend Carlos Eire sends word of a Damas de Blanco demonstration planned for New York this Sunday:
This Sunday, March 28th, at 12 noon, Raíces de Esperanza will be coming together for a SILENT MARCH in support of LAS DAMAS DE BLANCO. We will be meeting at the north fountain in front of the Metropolitan Museum of Art on 85th Street and 5th Avenue, leaving at 12 noon, and walking down Fifth Avenue to the José Martí Statue at 59th Street & 6th Avenue (Avenue of the Americas).
Please wear WHITE, and if you can, bring a flower to hold in your hand the same way the Damas do.
Remember this is a SILENT MARCH. We want to respect and emulate the amazing work Las Damas have done.
