Quote of the day

Carlos Alberto Montaner in an editorial which appears in today’s Herald:

“The diplomat’s [Miguel Angel Moratinos] strange theory is that gentleness in treatment softens the Castros’ military dynasty. But he doesn’t realize that what has just happened gives the lie to his theory: What opened the cell doors was the firmness of some countries and the heroism of the opposition. Moratinos insists on an error that hurts the Cubans, does not benefit Spain and contradicts the values and legal commitments of the European Union.”

  1. Appeasement never has weaken or softens the resolve of followers of the Evil Ideology, Communism on the contrary such softens, strength their beastly appetite to be more merciless .

Miguel Angel Moratinos like many well educated diplomats, suffers from self denial of historical precedent and like many diplomats choose to see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil and
pretend that the naked emperor wears clothes
