New York Nightspot names drink in honor of Che Guevara!

Dead CHE

“The Ernesto ($13 a glass) is an ode to Ernesto Che Guevara…Upon entering Cienfuegos, visitors are transported to the island’s pre-revolution days celebrating greed, corruption, and debauchery—everything Che and Castro fought to quash.”

Indeed! Those UNSPEAKABLE (!!!) attrubutes have been utterly unknown in Cuba over the past half century!….Now, surely there’s a Miami nightspot willing to one-up these New York nangaras…say a cocktail named: “The Felix!” celebrating the picture above!

  1. We really lost the public relations war! No doubt about it.

Nobody respects us. In India some entrepreneur had the bad idea to make a Hitler themed restaurant and he had to close it after India’s tiny Jewish community caught wind of the restaurant and started protesting. Similarly, in Brazil someone decided to do a Holocaust themed float for Rio’s famous carnival and the courts decided that it was insensitive to Jews and he had to dismantle it. Yet with Cubans, people just spit in our faces.

It’s really offensive when the article says:

    >>Upon entering Cienfuegos, visitors are transported to the island’s pre-revolution days celebrating greed, corruption, and debauchery—everything Che and Castro fought to quash.<<

They've created such a mythology around Cuba that you would think that 1950's Cuba was Caligula's Rome or something! Geez!

  2. The ignorance of some people can never be underestimated. I wonder if the bar is truly Cuban: comical service, awful government brand mixers and old plastic glasses.
