Mark today’s date

It may be the harbinger of very bad things to come…

Trucks rumbled into Iran’s first reactor Saturday to begin loading tons of uranium fuel in a long-delayed startup touted by officials as both a symbol of the country’s peaceful intentions to produce nuclear energy as well as a triumph over Western pressure to rein in its nuclear ambitions.

  1. I do think that this will be looked at as a missed opportunity to engage the Iranians with Reagan style Libyan love. That B. Hussien is at the controls of this idiocy, will someday be looked at as a moment of “say no more…” and I do hope that Prime Minister Benjamin has a good plan B in the works. Perhaps the only way out of this is to allow the Iranians to make the first move? But at what enormous cost…

  2. I just don’t understand why the Jewish state has not done anything to stop Iran nuclear program.

I wonder was is going on behind the scene.

I think there are several reasons:

    1. Israel knows that a war with Iran would be very costly and bloody. If Israel’s nukes stay off the table, then it would be a difficult slog to defeat Iran militarially for Israel, especially without US help.

    2. I don’t believe that Israel wants to act without US backing, and President Hussein is not about to offer any.

    3. As soon as Israel acts, then Iran will activate Hizballah on Israel’s northern border and they’ll have to fight on multiple fronts.

    4. I do think Israel will eventually act, as soon as they think Iran is at the point of no return. However, Israel is probably not use to having a hostile US President – and so they are unsure of how to proceed.

  4. This article describes a convoluted deal that doesn’t solve anything. Russia’s presence in any mix only aggravates the situation; they are rabid anti-semites and always have been in their long and miserable history. So …. are the Israelis becoming suicidal like the 2008 US voters?

  5. On this same page there was an article about the deviser of drones having been killed in an expertly designed explosion. A few more expertly devised plans such as this one might be the way destruction of Iran’s great plans may happen.
Obama in the White House is certainly not a help.
