On to November 2

You may have noticed that I added a little countdown clock in Pinar del Rio, our left navigation bar. It’s counting down the days, hours, minutes, and seconds left until election day on November 2. It’s there as a subtle reminder of what we have at stake in a little over 68 days: nothing less than the survival of our republic.

Friends and acquaintances of mine are always commenting that the humorous asides I make about just about anything always have a political bent. They’re right. But there’s a reason for that. People who are disengaged from politics find it boring, or too nasty, or simply not their cup of tea, are the principle reason we are in the shithole we are in today.

Well, I have news for all of you: It’s ALL about politics.

The last 22 months should prove beyond a reasonable doubt that people who are disengaged and uninterested in politics have dug themselves (and us) into a hole. A deep, deep hole. There are many of us who warned you about Barack Obama and the potential of an Administration littered with — dare I say it? — doctrinaire socialists and Marxists. We warned you, and we warned you. But many of you did not listen. You heard and saw the soaring market-tested rhetoric and imagery and succumbed to it. The bullshit was spewing out as copiously as the oil from the Deepwater Horizon, but you went in like a lamb to slaughter and believed all of it. The result? What we have today and what is planned for tomorrow.

If you want to change the direction of America back to its founding principles, back to its free enterprise roots, back to more liberty and less control, back to a nation that was “the shining city on the hill,” then you must become engaged in the political discourse. You have to vote to bring control of the House of Representatives and Senate back into the hands of the only party we can have ANY hope in. I’m not saying this because I’m a cheerleading Republican. Far from it. I have written many, many pieces on how pissed off and disillusioned I am in the GOP and it’s herd of repulsive RINOs. November 2, however, is not the time to wallow in past issues. November 2 is the time for positive action to save our country. Vote for the best conservative candidate. Real conservatives, not the ones who talk the talk.

Don’t be fooled by what you hear on the media or by the lies spewed by Dem (“progressive”) candidates, commentators, anchors and bloggers. There is only one choice to make on November 2. There is only one choice if you want to save this country. Give the Democrats and their socialist agenda the most embarrassing loss in their history. Give them what they deserve for fucking up our country: a one-way ticket out of the Capitol.

Don’t squander what may be the final opportunity we have to reverse course.

God bless America.

  1. One Big, Hearty, AMEN to that!!!!!

I was disheartened when I saw the poor turnout at the primaries yesterday. I certainly hope people will come out of their comfortable couches on Nov. 2nd….

Apathy is a crime at this point in time.

Nailed it George, as you described what’s the Obama administration.

The people must wake up to the fact that the Marxist, Muslim, anti-American bullshit artist must be denied a second term and he must be put in a straight jacket of checks and balances by a good Republican Congress this November that starts working ASAP to reverse the damage done by his administration.

If these two events don’t take place, the good old USA if finished within a generation.

I wonder how many people in our country realize it.
