Photographic Evidence

Nothing speaks louder than the images of Cubans being beaten and subjugated by the Castro regime. Regardless of what Spain, “Cuba Experts,” the farm lobby, or anyone else says about reform in Cuba, the following images tell the true story of repression that continues unabated on the island prison.

These images were taken on the 1st of December, and came with the following note:

During the month of December there have been acts of repudiation taking place against the dissident Sarah Martha Fonseca, a signor of the document “Future for Cuba.” I am attaching a few photos of what happened on the 1st of December when she was subjected to two acts of repudiation at her house in the Rio Verde neighborhood of the Boyeros municipality. In these acts, even school children participated after they were promised snacks. They painted graffiti on the floor of her home’s entrance after breaking the lock on the gate to her front yard to gain entry. At the entrance, they detained and physically assaulted Calixto Ramón Martínez Arias, an independent journalist, as well as the ex-prisoner Barto Marquez Alcebo, who passed out after his mouth was bloodied. Some of these photographs document their story.

This is how the left the entrance the first time.

  1. These men are brave. I hope a free Cuba will look back at these men, and see the pain they had to endure for freedom of speech.
