If the exact same case had occurred in South Africa under Botha, Oprah (and the rest of the usual suspects) would be on it like white on rice. Reina Luisa would be a major media star. But she’s just some Cuban. Besides, can’t possibly give “those people” in South Florida an iota of support. It might look, you know, conservative or something.
