NPR and the “higher education” of liberals

The “resignations” yesterday of two prominent executives at National Public Radio (NPR) has brought to the forefront, once again, the arrogance and condescension with which constitutionalists and conservatives are regarded at the highest levels of the liberal media “intelligentsia.” It’s nothing new, of course. We all know that the elitists look down their nose at us and say things which are, not only insulting, but absolutely untrue. Case in point, the video that muckraker James O’Keefe shot of two NPR executives. Listen to this:

So we conservatives want to control the lives of Americans? I have some questions for this boob:

  • Who wants to control what you eat?
  • Who wants to control what legal tobacco products you use?
  • Who wants to control your firearms?
  • Who wants to control what you hear on the radio?
  • Who wants to control what you see on TV?
  • Who wants to control what you see on the Internet?
  • Who wants to control how you get your health care?
  • Who wants to control how the local communities handle their citizen’s business?
  • Who wants to control how you spend your money by imposing higher and higher taxes and fees?

Liberals have a “higher education” and they can’t even ask these simple questions?

Look, real conservatives want to leave you alone and want to be left alone. Period. We want to live our lives with the least amount of oversight and interference, just as the founders intended. The next time a liberal or progressive throws out the canard that we want to control lives because of some nebulous “Christian” agenda, just laugh in their face and read them this list. Their lies and their socialist fantasies are beyond parody.

  1. O’Keefe’s doing the job other media fear to approach — he’s using liberal tactics to give them a taste of their own medicine; pass the popcorn, this is fun

  2. Another way of saying this is those who are “pro choice” want to take all of our other choices away; they are dictatorial in thinking they know what’s best for everyone else.
Bravo O’Keefe. Andrew Breitbart was one of the favored speakers at the Club for Growth meeting. He told us how we can all do this. Take a tiny camera and expose the left for what they are. He kept repeating. “It is so fun!”

  3. Who wants to control what you eat? No one. But the mere suggestion of eating healthier apparently drives the right nut(tier). I am all for everyone killing themselves eating. Just don’t come uninsured to the emergency room with diabetes, high blood pressure and heart attacks and expect me to pay for it through increases in my insurance policy.

Who wants to control what legal tobacco products you use? No one, really.

Who wants to control your firearms? No one. This is one of the most disingenuous claims from the right. Apparently tea baggers are all for people having war weapons and using them freely. That’s kind of not very advisable.

Who wants to control what you hear on the radio? No one. Or else Liambaugh’s brain vomits would be nowhere to be heard. The market seems to be purging Beck out of business though. Are you going to blame Obama for that too?

Who wants to control what you see on TV? Ditto

Who wants to control what you see on the Internet? No one. But the right’s donors, owners and masters definitely wants to control how and when we access it and charge us way more that we ever thought possible for it.

Who wants to control how you get your health care? No one. The president merely wants to ensure everyone gets some. A lame effort if you ask me.

Who wants to control how the local communities handle their citizen’s business? Seriously, no one. You have got to be joking.

Who wants to control how you spend your money by imposing higher and higher taxes and fees? Nixon, Reagan and Bush I, just to name a few.

WHO WANTS TO CONTROL WHO YOU HAVE SEX WITH? and WHY?

  4. Here we go again…

    SGVII,

I think you landed on the wrong website but I suggest for you to have another gulp of that liberal kool-aid while enjoying your short stay here because if you think that we’re going to buy the BS package you just posted you’re living in liberal fantasy island.

I guess you’re another of those liberal mentally diseased characters that blames Bush for everything. Your post is typical of Obama voters, the problem is that the reality of America under the Obama administration debunks your whole post.

You see the American people already had two years of this administration and already see the abyss this current POTUS and his liberal cohorts are taking the country.

The main signal I saw it yesterday in a poll at liberal CNN in which 50 percent are split on Obama’s chances for reelection. That speaks volumes on the future political fortunes for POTUS.

I guess you did not learned last November lesson, wait until next year, it’ll get worse much for you.

But that’s OK, enjoy another gulp of your liberal kool-aid, because it won’t last for long…

  5. This looks like an informmercial for our cause, with Schiller sent by a casting director after auditioning hundreds for the perfect liberal egg-head snob. I mean–his mannerisms, diction, dress, facial expressions–everything!

    Unreal.

  6. George Moneo and Freedom for Cuba. I am friends of one of your bloggers and followed a link from his Facebook page to the Babalú Blog which I have read occasionally for a while now. I even agree and support many things that have been said here and many of the causes that this blog champions, especially when it comes to Cuban causes for which by the way, your adored GWB did not a freaking thing in 8 long years.

Willful ignorance and intolerance to dissenting opinions are not among the things about Babalú that I support and of which I certainly didn’t know anything about. In that sense you are not too different than the Castro boys. Good luck with that. I will always wonder what would it be like to appeal to the lower common denominator of the people, to their anger and to the fear. But I guess there will always be the right-wingnuttery to reminds us how it is done.

It would have been nice to have read some sort of half baked rebuke to at least one of the points I made but I guess . . . que no se le pueden pedir peras al olmo.

    • Simon, my condolences to your friend.

I have a policy of not interrupting someone who is making a total jackass of himself, but I’ll go as far as to say that your answers to my post indicate that you’re either intellectually lazy and ignorant of very basic truths all around you, or someone who has an agenda. Take your pick.

You’ve obviously not read our blog for an extended period of time; you’re mistaken about us not criticizing Bush. I’ve been very critical of his policies, especially when he kowtowed to idiot libs like you. Real conservatives abhor what RINOs have done. We have written ad nauseam about it.

That said, I would rather have W in office that any liberal or progressive conceived or yet to be conceived. Not including the abortions, of course, since you guys are all for the “choice” to kill babies.

  7. SGVII,

Here you go again with your Bush’s fixation. Well, at least he did not give as many unilateral concessions to the Castro tyranny as your idol Obama is doing.

“In that sense you are not too different than the Castro boys”

If you lived under the Castro brothers you would not make such a moronic statement but I guess you have not lived that experience so you must engage in ignorant comments like that one you just made.

Babalu blog posts on a daily basis enough material to rebuke all your arguments.
Unfortunately today we don’t have time to connect the dots for you so don’t try to act like you’re wining this argument with your liberal points because you’re not.

“que no se le pueden pedir peras al olmo.”

I could say the same about you and much more…

“I guess there will always be the right-wingnuttery to reminds us how it is done”

    And what are you?

Your original post points to a liberal, kool-aid drinker afflicted by the it was all Bush-Cheney and the Republicans fault disease that bears no resemblance to reality, so please take your labels someplace else because we could care less about it.

  8. Sorry to break it to you, Simon, but a “half-baked rebuke” to your half-baked comment does not a cake make. You have to hold up your end if you want to have a viable discussion.

Complaining about intolerance to dissenting points of view as you freely express your dissenting point of view is not a good start.

  9. Alberto,

Simon quizo venir a bailar a la casa del trompo.

Se creyo que era el barbaro, un virtuoso intellectual, y George le dio tres nalgadas y lo uso para trapear el piso.

A loose translation for our English readers:

Simon came to Babalu thinking he’s a bad ass, a supreme intellect. George gave him a good spanking and mopped the floor with him.

These liberals never cease to amaze me…

  10. * Who wants to control what you eat?

Michelle Obama, the liberals and the Democrats.

    * Who wants to control what legal tobacco products you use?

    The liberals and the Democrats.

    * Who wants to control your firearms?

The liberals and the Democrats trying to passs legislation to take our rights to bear arms.

    * Who wants to control what you hear on the radio?

The liberals and the Democrats. According to them the MSM is the only reliable news outlet, Fox News and the rest are evil.

    * Who wants to control what you see on TV?

The liberals and the Democrats in cohort with the Hollywood establishment that contribute to their political campaign.

    * Who wants to control what you see on the Internet?

    The liberals and the Democrats.

    * Who wants to control how you get your health care?

    OBAMACARE, enough said.

    * Who wants to control how the local communities handle their citizen’s business?

The liberals and the Democrats by increasing the size and scope of control of the Federal government upon local communities.

    * Who wants to control how you spend your money by imposing higher and higher taxes and fees?

The liberals and the Democrats as according to them we must share more of our wealth with the Federal government so it can blow more of this money into worthless stimulus packages that sink our country further into debt.

But if you read Simons’s post the one who wanted to impose the higher taxes and fees on the American people were Nixon, Reagan and Bush. Really, what a freaking moronic statement if I ever read one, I wonder what stuff is he smoking.

I guess Simon forgot that the only reason Obama did not rolled-back George W. Bush tax cuts early this year is because he lost control of Congress and plenty of seats in the Senate; otherwise he would have done so.

I guess Simon forgot how Bill Clinton raised taxes in the nineties and has the freaking balls to say that Ronald Wilson Reagan (the President in our lifetime that believed the most in getting government out of our backs) raised our taxes.

Unfortunately you cannot give these facts to the liberals because they choose to ignore them and have the balls to say that we cannot counter their imbecilic point of view.

    Enough said…
