Castro dictatorship praying for Hugo

Via the Wall Street Journal:

In Cuba, a Prayer for Chávez

Castro Regime’s Survival Depends Greatly on Ill Venezuelan Leader’s Largess

CARACAS—Venezuela’s ailing President Hugo Chávez says he is praying to Jesus Christ, the Blessed Virgin and the spirits of the Venezuelan savannah to help him beat his cancer.

Mr. Chávez hasn’t mentioned it, but probably no one is praying harder for his health than Fidel and Raúl Castro in Cuba. Their ossified regime now largely depends on help from their ally in Caracas and they will do everything possible—short of an invasion—to keep Mr. Chávez or a like-minded ally in power, say U.S. officials, Venezuelan opposition leaders and analysts.

  1. “they will do everything possible—short of an invasion—to keep Mr. Chávez or a like-minded ally in power”??

I know this was meant as a reference to a military invasion, but last I checked Venezuela has already been invaded by tens of thousands of Cubans (including the VZ military). And just wait until late next year, the cagastro bros (if they’re still around) will send half their farm out there for the presedential “election”.

I for one am hoping chavez won’t be on the ballot. The end of him and the cancer he has infected VZ with for the past 12 years might be closer than any of us can imagine.

  2. “Hugo Chávez says he is praying to Jesus Christ, the Blessed Virgin and the spirits of the Venezuelan savannah to help him beat his cancer.”

If it weren’t so blasphemous it would be funny…
