Well, it’s hardly a comfort, but at least Gross and his family now know how Iran’s American hostages and their families felt under the ever-so-humane and enlightened presidency of Jimmy Carter. But of course, it’s not Obama’s fault. It’s the embargo. Or bad luck. Or something. And the band plays on.
