But when women are moved and lend help, when women, who are by nature calm and controlled, give encouragement and applause, when virtuous and knowledgeable women grace the endeavor with their sweet love, then it is invincible.

Laura Pollan, founder of Las Damas de Blanco has died. Her death has been confirmed from several sources, including Elizardo Sanchez, head of the Cuban Commission for Human Rights who spoke with her family, and Las Damas member Bertha Solar. She was 63.

May God grant her the peace and freedom she was denied in this world. Laura Vive! Y Viva Cuba Libre!

Update (Val): The castro regime – the very same one with the vaunted healthcare and that some celebrities support and admire, the very same one whose human rights violations are ignored by the Mainstream media, the very same one that the Obama administration wants to prop with the lifting of sanctions – just tried to make sure that a leading voice in the fight for the freedom of the Cuban people was silenced. Laura Pollan – Lady in White – died to today after an apparent heart failure while in hospital.

They killed her in order to silence her, but her death will resonate around the world, and the injustices forced upon her and the Cuban people will be known. God bless Laura Pollan and may He grant her family and loved ones not just peace, but justice.

  1. The Castro Totalitarian Regime has murdered our Laura Pollan.
They now are ready to eliminate our Sara Marta Fonseca.
Will we in the Free World sit ans say “Rest in Peace”………..Or will we take to the street to let the world know of our anger and sorrow?

  2. Henry hermano, we will take to the street, even if we are alone, and we will stand for truth for freedom, for Cuba libre, and to protect the memory of all the martyrs.
