Jorge Luis Garcia Perez “Antúnez” along with his wife Yris Perez Aguilera were among several peaceful activists arrested and beaten by Castro State Security yesterday.

Cuban hunger striker Alicides Rivera describes arrest of Antunez and his wife
Cuban State Security officials about 4 p.m. today dragged arrested activists Jorge Luis Perez Garcia “Antunez” and his wife Yris Perez Aguilera while they were visiting in hospital hunger striker Alcides Rivera Rodriguez, Rivera told Rado Marti this evening.
Rivera said the officers pushed and punched the couple before taking them away.

Diario de Cuba reports other dissidents have also been arrested at the Santa Clara hospital. They include: Damaris Moya Portieles, Idania Yánez Contreras, Julio Columbié Batista and Yanisbel Valido. DDC also reports that members of the United Anti-Totalitarian Front, headed by leading diss idents Guillermo Farinas were at State Security headquarters in Santa Clara demanding the release of all arrested.
