Modern Day Heretics (Right here at Babalu)

Cuba “Experts” featured in Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Galileo’s “Trial.”

“If we’re serious about hastening democratic reforms in Cuba, we need to ease and travel restrictions currently imposed by the U.S.” Jeff Flake’s liturgy for close to a decade. This liturgy, needless to add, reflects the opinion of 95 per cent of Think Tank and Academic Opinion ( in brief, of “expert” opinion) worldwide.

We turn now to Reuters from this week:

“Hotels are full to the brim and Old Havana, the capital’s historic center, is teeming with tourists from around the world….”We are at capacity. The beach resorts, Havana city are totally full. In the interior of the country, there is nowhere to find a room, nowhere,” said the manager of a foreign hotel company.

Cuba just completed its best year for tourism with 2.7 million visitors in 2011, and experts say current bookings suggest it will almost certainly beat that number in 2012. “I think 2012 will be a very good year and I see real difficulties in how to organize and manage all this in 2013 and 2014,” said the head of a European travel agency’s Havana office.” (From Reuters.)

We turn now to The Cuban Commission for Human Rights:

The Cuban Commission for Human Rights announced that December 2011 was the worst month for political arrests in 30 years.

Has there ever been another instance in modern history where people who propound the equivalent of 2 + 2 = 4 and that the earth circles the sun get instantly and almost unanimously denounced as “NUTS!” and “CRACKPOTS!” by academics and pundits?

in 1992 The Catholic Church finally apologized to Galileo…we’ll be lucky to get it as quickly from the modern gatekeepers of “truth.”

  1. Excellent expose! One would think that such glaring evidence, such an irrefutable fact would suffice, but we’re dealing with dissemblers after all. All that they do is use smokescreens and mirrors. They are hardly interested in advancing the truth.

  2. All those tourists have my profound and unequivocal contempt, unless they’re Cuban and STILL functioning as tourists, in which case they have my unequivocal NAUSEA.
