Cuban dictator Raul Castro has called upon one of his “Young Guns” in Cuba’s military command to take control of the Institute of Physical Planning, which is in charge of urban development on the island. Seventy-eight year old Young Gun Samuel Rodiles Planas was named president of the institute in an obvious attempt to inject new blood and youthful enthusiasm into Cuba’s dismally lagging construction sector.

Touted by “Cuba Experts” and the media alike as reformists and agents of change, Cuba’s septuagenarian/octogenarian band of “Young Gun” leaders are expected to bring vitality and vigor to the island’s badly managed and faltering economy.

Café Fuerte has the report (in Spanish).
