ZA Animal rights group denounces plan to ship animals to Cuba

In a plan agreed to between the Nambian government and Raul Castro, 148 wild animals, who now roam freely in Nambia’s game parks, are to be shipped to Cuba to reside in Havana’s zoo.

The South African SPCA is disgusted:

“It is saddening to note that these animals will be taken out of their natural habitats and sent to a strange land where they will be deprived of freedom and be totally dependent on humans for their daily needs.”

Meanwhile 11 million Cuban people live in Cuba deprived of freedom by the Castro regime, their suffering ignored by long time ally, South Africa.
