As Obama slept, Islamofascist radicals murdered U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens, and foreign service information management officer Sean Smith, a husband and father of two young children, and two other still unnamed Americans during “a planned, coordinated, well-executed military style event” on our Embassy compound in Benghazi.
I want to apologize for my post earlier, as the pictures were indeed upsetting; no one wants to see such sights.
Yet…
Perhaps, the best way for us to honor our dead and show respect and support for their families, is to make sure that the pictures of their horrific fate are seen every day, by every American everywhere.
In fact, there should be billboards erected along the route to every campaign stop that President Obama will make for the next 55 days showing Ambassador’s Stevens lifeless body, alongside Sean Smith’s smiling face, with a simple question emblazoned across the top:
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT THEIR DEATHS MR. PRESIDENT?
If there is one thing that I have learned from all this, and considering that I have been well aware of the reality and explosiveness of the situation in the Middle East, is the answer to one of the most iconic questions of the 2007 Democratic Presidential Primaries:
“It’s 3:00 AM…who do you want answering the phone?”
A tuna sandwich and a side of cucumber salad.
They would have a better handle on the situation than any one of the morons lifting the handset these days.
“‘It’s 3:00 AM…who do you want answering the phone?’ A tuna sandwich and a side of cucumber salad.”
Amen, brother.
Amen indeed, and first up, I want the damn phone answered, decisively. We deserve a leader who doesn’t take several press releases and a poll or two to decide where the red line is. I want a leader who draws the red line, and enforces it.
