The longest-suffering female political prisoners in modern history suffered their tortures in Castro’s Cuba. Some died by firing-squad and prison beatings.

If these women had gone through the same horrors under Pinochet or Botha, they would be at least as famous and celebrated as the Argentinian crones of the Plaza de Mayo, the ones who celebrated over 9/11. But, since they’re anti-Castro Cubans, NOBODY knows or wants to know a thing about them outside Cuban exile circles. Funny how that works.
