The nail in The One’s coffin?

If this rumor is true, it would be the coffin in Obama’s re-election’s hopes.

On Tuesday night’s “On the Record with Greta Van Susteren” on the Fox News Channel, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said that major news networks might have secret emails proving that the White House canceled plans to assist the besieged U.S. Embassy in Benghazi.

Gingrich said that the bombshell emails could be revealed within the next two days.

“There is a rumor — I want to be clear, it’s a rumor — that at least two networks have emails from the National Security Adviser’s office telling a counterterrorism group to stand down,” Gingrich said. “But they were a group in real-time trying to mobilize marines and C-130s and the fighter aircraft, and they were told explicitly by the White House stand down and do nothing. This is not a terrorist action. If that is true, and I’ve been told this by a fairly reliable U.S. senator, if that is true and comes out, I think it raises enormous questions about the president’s role, and Tom Donilon, the National Security Adviser’s role, the Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, who has taken it on his own shoulders, that he said don’t go. And that is, I think, very dubious, given that the president said he had instructions they are supposed to do everything they could to secure American personnel.”

  1. All one needs to conclude the MSM is largely corrupt and hopelessly biased is to compare its sustained feeding frenzy over Abu Ghraib to its handling (or rather non-handling) of the Benghazi tragedy. It is beyond dispute that if the same thing had involved a Republican president, the media would have gone ballistic and would be on it nonstop, even in the face of something like Sandy (particularly just before an election). Anyone who denies this is automatically disqualified as either mentally defective or full of shit. The matter could hardly be more obvious, yet the usual MSM suspects are still digging in their heels as if their position is not only defensible but viable. How can it be? How can enough people be OK with this kind of glaring fraud to make it sustainable? The answer is as simple as it is disturbing: media corruption and perversion is a reflection of (and depends upon) comparable qualities in an awful lot of people. Yes, many people ARE stupid, which is obviously a major problem, but that is by no means the only one.

Take, for instance, the New York Times. It should never have survived the Walter Duranty abomination, but it simply went on about its business, meaning its agenda, because enough people saw fit to keep it in business. It is always thus. It is never so much the thing itself, however perverse it may be, but rather those who enable it. That is true of Obama as it is for every miserable wretch of a politician in Congress. That is true of Chávez in Venezuela and Castro in Cuba. People get what they pay for, or what they buy into, which would be fair enough if that only applied to the actual buyers, but it often affects those who did not participate in the transaction and may well have opposed it. Alas, that’s the Achilles heel of majority rule: the majority can be not just wrong, but disastrously so, and when it is, everybody suffers. Needless to say, the responsible parties never, ever make it up to those who weren’t. Welcome to reality.

  2. Ditto, asombra,

The stupidity of many Americans that should know better is just mind boggling.

If this is true the MSM will conceal publishing these emails until after the elections.

As more information comes out about the Benghazi fiasco it point to the obvious which is a massive cover up on the part of this President and members of his administration.

In another era such scandal could probably amount to impeachment procedures against this President.
