Quote of the day

Paquito D’Rivera has some very wise words regarding Yoani Sanchez (via Café Fuerte – my translation):

“I do not hide my admiration for Yoani, although I prefer the more combative and aggressive style of a Dr. Oscar Elias Biscet or the irreverent and aggressive acts of my colleague Gorki Aguila. Like many of you, I disagree with many of the statements made by the renowned blogger, which are a product of five decades of beans without oil, ground beef made from grapefruit peels, overstuffed buses, political slogans, and brainwashing. In the end, however, I believe we all more or less want the same thing. And if someone with this ability to bring people together wants to help us get a little more attention and solidarity with our just cause, let’s not help out the communists by sabotaging the person who has done the most harm to them these past few years and today continues to hit them where it hurts.”

  1. asombra,

The issue is that Yoani’s contamination helps the Castro tyranny, Paquito needs to understand this reality…

  2. Here at Babalu we all know who has actually “done the most harm to them.” Not coincidentally this tireless Capitol-Hill-based gentleman happens to be the chief target of the people promoting Yoani Sanchez’ tour….put two and two together for crying out loud…connect the dots, for crying out loud…

  3. Amen, Paquito!

In fact, I would not be too surprised if those Cubans that are asking for Yoani’s head here in the states are moles planted by the Communist secret police to sow dissension and backstabbing. Hint, hint.

  4. Count,

You make me laugh with your baseless accusations…

From the beginning you were trying to imply that Babalu contributors were involved with these groups attacking Yoani in Puebla and now you try to claim that Babalu has moles planted by the Communist secret police involved in these attacks on Yoani in Puebla, Mexico?

I already told you several times, no one here at Babalu is involved and doesn’t have the time or desire to travel to Puebla, Mexico to demonstrate against Yoani, regardless of how much we disagree with her on certain issues.

Gosh, what a complete idiot you’re, I thought that you had more brains…

    Hasta la vista…
