The Deepening Color of Blur in This Country

Somebody call Crayola. I have an idea for a new crayon color … “Blur”. The U.S. government and MSM are increasingly coloring everything in shades of “Blur”.

At the risk of being accused of wearing a tin foil hat

First, not reading a person’s Miranda rights in these situations is a huge judgement call, usually with a lot of contemplating forethought and assumed hindsight behind it. After all, it is highly possible and probable these two brothers were not acting alone and are part of something bigger. However, this warning makes a whole hell of a lot of sense, and deserving of some ‘contemplating forethought and assumed hindsight‘ as well, given the current administration’s motto about letting a crisis go to waste:

TAMPA, April 20, 2013 – 19-year-old Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokar Tsarnaev is in custody. Assuming that Tsarnaev is indeed guilty of these crimes, a very real threat to public safety has been taken off the streets. That’s the good news.

The bad news is that the Tsarnaev brothers have taken the last vestiges of a free society in America down with them.

The Bill of Rights was already on life support before this tragedy. Before the dust settled after 9/11, the 4th Amendment had been nullified by the Patriot Act. The 5th and 6th Amendments were similarly abolished with the Military Commission Act of 2006 and the 2012 NDAA resolution, which contained a clause allowing the president to arrest and indefinitely detain American citizens on American soil without due process of law.

Americans had already grown accustomed to having their persons and papers searched at the airport without probable cause and without a warrant supported by oath or affirmation. After a brief, politically-motivated backlash against the Bush Administration, Americans similarly resigned themselves to the government tapping their phones, reading their e-mails and generally spying on them wherever they went. Things were already very, very bad.

They just got a lot worse.

Not only did the militarized domestic law enforcement complex put the City of Boston under martial law, but nobody seems to have found it out of the ordinary, much less outrageous. Yes, a few journalists like libertarian Anthony Gregory raised a finger. But, for the most part, nobody seemed to mind that the entire city was under military siege, complete with paramilitary units in full battle gear, battlefield ordinance and tanks. Tanks!

… the awful power of the state is not supposed to be set loose based upon feelings. It is supposed to be restrained by reason. God help us if we forget.

Well now … this was something even our own Humberto made note of just the other day. This much show of force and a full city shutdown for two suspects, and then one injured suspect after the older brother was dead the fire-fight with officials? Despite our ‘feelings’ and ‘want’ for immediate payback on these terrorists we have to be careful about what we are willing to accept from this government’s actions/reactions. After all, our Constitutional rights are set up as THE “even playing field” for a reason. Don’t forget our current fight with this same government over new and more gun control laws based on “moral outrage” feelings/want on the heels of Sandy Hook. And don’t forget the filibuster regarding possible future drone attacks on American citizens on our own soil. Like it or not, while enemy combatants, these two guys were/are “American citizens”. Are we in the midst of blurry lines here right now (and nobody has blurred that line between ‘enemy combatant’ and ‘criminal’ more than the last 2 democrat administrations)?

elian Innocent little Cuban boy seeking political asylum with his family in America.

filmmaker Filmmaker using his First Amendment rights fingered more than once by Obama administration officials (and the MSM) as he and his obscure video being the blame for the 9/11/12 terror attack on the American Consulate in Benghazi.

Islamic terrorists today, but your conservative neighbor who legally owns guns or home schooling their kids tomorrow??? Our own government entities are already erasing the “logic” in their training, instruction, and watch lists. One from the article’s comments (Read through the comments there for some very good perspective on this):

“Sadly, you are correct. I was appalled as a veteran that Mr. Tsarnaev was not read his Miranda rights. He *is* an American citizen. I also have a hard time when major network news anchors say “accused” and “the bomber” and “now everyone can rest easy” in the same breath. He is accused of a heinous crime. The case against him is pretty tight *from what we have seen in the news*. He is not *guilty* until proven so in a court of law with points of fact determined by a jury of his peers.

I don’t want to compare America with Nazi Germany. However, Nazi Germany didn’t become a menace overnight. Each step was made with reasons that were valid to many, some to most. Our country is more than in danger from “safety” becoming more important than due process. Soviet Russia was a safe place too – if you were the right people. Nazi Germany was a safe place too – if you were the right people.

Do YOU want to roll the dice on whether you are one of the “right people” today, tomorrow or ten years from now? I don’t. Like millions of others, I took an oath to protect the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign *and domestic*.

By the time you are in jail it’s too late to fix the problem.”

It’s a nice day, walk with me a bit longer here and enjoy the spring shades of “Blur” …

Think about it in terms of what we already know about last Monday’s Boston Marathon bombing (and, BTW, the so-far unspoken by the media/officials security contractor drill happening at the same time of the race and bombing … that would be something the MSM would be all over were this a different administration: Not-so-subtle hues of BLUR) and how this media’s false (witness) narrative progressed the rest of the week from Obama’s MSNBC/CNN/social media/ and other MSM entities chanting for days how it was somebody white and right-wing, pissed-off taxpayer or Second Amendment supporter, or “Patriots Day” nut. BLUR. As I pointed out, the MSM are nothing if not completely predictable. To this day, now knowing who the attackers are, the MSM has clicked to spin-cycle, and is pushing the narrative as far away from the simple truth (that these guys are part of the Islamic ideology and terror movement), and trying very hard and sloppily to hoist the blame and responsibility on the rest of us and our culture/country … they are victims. BLUR. Here. Here. Here

BAHER AZMY: Grassley and others are using this as a platform, an attempt to push some pre-existing agenda, which I think we should be really wary about in light of some of lessons after 9/11, that sort of the use of the Patriot Act, fomenting a climate of fear to get policy changes. And just to address this argument on the merits, obviously, this had nothing to do with their immigration status or a broken immigration system. It is an act of criminal depravity or mental instability or some combination. It’s not a function of where they came from.

You mean the way Reid, Pelosi, Schumer, Biden, and the MSM are using Sandy Hook to push stricter, stronger, more gun control? BLUR.

Vibrant BLUR.

Philip Mudd, former counterterror expert for the CIA and the FBI, joined Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday to discuss the nature of the threat posed by the Tsarnaev brothers and any network they may have been associated with in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombings. He said the Boston attack reminded him more of the 1999 attack on Columbine than a terror event orchestrated by a foreign network. “I would charge these guys as murders not terrorists,” Mudd said of the suspects in the attack on the Boston Marathon.

Now remember, these are the same political pundits and MSM that insist on calling conservatives, republicans, law-abiding/Second Amendment defending gun owners, and the TEA Party … who have NEVER attacked or killed anyone … “terrorists”. BLUR.

Oh, and here, “Liberal Columnist Cautions: Too Soon to Say Islamic Extremism Motivated Tsarnaev Brothers”

They are the products of the chaos of breaking news, and may well also be the products of people who stretch the truth — or break it — in order to play a role in the mayhem. They are very much subject to change. But they are also reminders of something it’s so easy to forget right now, especially for the many, many members of the media — professional and otherwise — who currently find themselves under pressure of live air or deadline: Tamerlan and Dzhokar Tsarnaev are not simply ‘the Marathon bombers,’ or ‘murderers,’ or ‘Chechens,’ or ‘immigrants,’ or ‘Muslims.’ They might turn out to be all of those things. They might not. The one thing we know for sure is that they are not only those things. They had friends and families and lives. They had YouTube accounts and Twitter feeds. They went to class. They went to work. They came home, and they left it again.

The problem is that there is no real place for the Boston bombings and their aftermath, just as there was no real place for Aurora or Columbine or Newtown. Their events were, in a very literal sense, outliers: They are (in the U.S., at least) out of the ordinary. They were the products of highly unusual sets of circumstances — of complexity, rather than contradictions. [Emphasis added]

Wait… WHAT?!? So NOW (now that we have Islamist terrorists trained in the craft of, um, terror and death) … NOW the Sandy Hook shooter was an “outlier” and NOT the whole of law-abiding gun owners that need MORE gun control laws, and their guns banned and confiscated??!!?? Liberal LSD-induced psychedelic B-L-U-R.

Some folks are awaiting those socialist/communist “re-education camps” to be built and opened here in the USA. Hell, the American people are already being “home schooled” and re-educated by the MSM in your own living rooms…
