While Obama’s Hope and Change campaign in Cuba is busy trying to “free” the Cuban people by rewarding and empowering the apartheid Castro regime, others continue the ongoing campaign to bring real freedom and true liberty to the enslaved people of Cuba.

Online campaign demands Cuba free imprisoned artist El Sexto

Cuban artists, including punk rocker Gorki Aguila and his band, Porno Para Ricardo, have launched an online campaign to demand that the Castro dictatorship release from jail the graffiti artist Danilo Maldonado, better known as El Sexto.

As the group People In Need reported last month, El Sexto was “detained on December 26, 2014 on the Malecón esplanade in Havana as he was driving towards the Central Park to make a performance with two pigs whose bodies were painted with the names of Cuban leaders: ‘Fidel’ and ‘Raúl.’

El Sexto, who is being held in the Valle Grande jail, is awaiting trial on a charge of “public disorder,” for which he could be sentenced to three years in prison.
