A few months ago, NPR‘s famous Weekend in Washington event featured a Cuba debate between CHC Editor Mauricio Claver-Carone and American University Professor William LeoGrande.

It was entitled “The U.S. and Cuba: Changing Policy, Changing Relations.

  1. Ah, PeoGrande again. Sometimes I still get incensed at these assholes and their insufferable presumptuousness, but I suppose at least some may be true believers (in perverse BS), which is more pathetic than anything else. Many of them aren’t, of course, but none of them are really addressing Cubans, anyway. Their target audience is primarily the foreign market, which the Castro regime has always taken great pains to win over (read deceive). Regardless of their motivation, they are all accessories to totalitarian tyranny and its attendant crimes. Lord, the nausea.
