Two years ago John Stossel and the CATO Institute cheered Obama’s Cuba policy–Well? Useful Idiots, anyone?

“Foreign capital (including billions in $ U.S. dollars) have been flowing into Cuba FOR DECADES!…Millions of tourists (including Americans) have been visiting Cuba FOR DECADES!–but NOTHING has CHANGED in Cuba–in fact, while the Stalinist regime rakes in the cash, conditions for the Cuban people have WORSENED!…Your libertarian pipe-dreams simply enrich and entrench the Stalinist regime…the evidence has been in for years… Ask the Cuban people themselves! With Obama’s new policy things will worsen FURTHER–both for the Cuban people and for U.S. national security!…You guys haven’t done your homework!”

Two years ago year ago John Stossel and a CATO Institute Cuba “expert” (two against one but I eagerly agreed to debate both “with half my brain tied behind my back”) scoffed at your humble servant here—while I openly ridiculed their ignorance of Cuban history–both pre-Castro and recent–and of human nature.

Well….it’s not just egg crusting on their faces nowadays–it’s ROTTEN EGG!!!  Since Obama’s “announcement” political arrests of Cubans by Castro’s KGB-trained secret police are at a TEN YEAR HIGH!

“I read Humberto Fontova’s book in two sittings–I couldn’t put it down!” (Mark “The Great One” Levin)

Humberto Fontova’s book teaches us truths about Castro’s island that are very discomfiting for many intellectuals.” (Ana Botella, Spain’s former First Lady while giving a book reading in Madrid, upon “Fidel; HFT” release in Spain)

“Humberto’s books read like my concerts sound! Rock on my warrior blood-brother!” (Ted Nugent on The Longest Romance; The Mainstream Media and Fidel Castro)

“Humberto’s book is a very valuable book-a book badly needed around the world.” (Former Chairwoman of the House Committee on Foreign Relations Ileana Ros-Lehtinen R. Fl)

  1. But Humberto, they HAVE to disagree with you or anyone like you in order to have any credibility with the people who count (and that’s definitely not Cubans). Even Cuban “intellectuals” who aspire to be taken seriously MUST bow to the obligatory tenets of the official narrative. Nobody said this is about truth, reason or logic–just ask the New York Times.
