While Obama and lobbyists promote Cuba’s apartheid dictatorship, do not forget the island’s brave dissidents

One of the most important goals of Obama’s policy of embracing and supporting Cuba’s corrupt and brutally repressive apartheid dictatorship is to do everything possible to distract the American people from the fact that the Cuban regime is corrupt and brutally repressive. Obama and the pro-apartheid lobbyists promoting his policy would rather have you associate Cuba with beaches, cigars, and mojitos instead of with brave and courageous dissidents such as Yaquelin Heredia.

We Shall Not Forget: Yaquelin Heredia Morales of The Ladies in White

Obama’s policy towards Cuba is heavy on distractions, while short on reality.

These distractions have been extremely useful for the Castro regime to add to his roster of political prisoners.

As such, it’s important to continue highlighting the cases of these new political prisoners.

One of these is Yaquelin Heredia Morales, a member of The Ladies in White.

Yaquelin was arrested on April 15, 2016, for carrying out a peaceful pro-democracy protest in the Havana’s Fraternidad Park.

Since her arrest, she has been kept — without charges or trial — in a prison for patients with HIV/AIDS. Yaquelin does not have HIV/AIDS.

She will not be forgotten.

  1. Oh, wait, if we’re really, really fortunate, maybe Michelle Obama will get around to tweeting something like “Put Yaquelin in a regular prison!” You know, like she tweeted some banality or other about those girls abducted by Boko Haram. Trouble is, Yaquelin is not an “approved” victim. Never mind.
