“Cuba has probably the nearest thing to perfect equality between whites and blacks in the world today.” (HOLD ON, amigos!….That was Life Magazine in 1938!–Heard THAT, Soledad O’Brien?!)

Life Magazine caption: “Batista’s VALET helps him with his olive drab army uniform…”  (Yes, amigos:  in 1938–in the horribly racist place Soledad O’Brien described to me on Morning Joe– a BLACK Cuban head of state had WHITE valets!)

Better yet, the Black Cuban head of state being fussed over by a WHITE valet is the very head of state who Soledad O’Brien denounces for oppressing blacks in a horribly racist society!

Life magazine caption, on left: ‘Notice Negro boys. Cuba has probably the nearest thing to perfect equality between whites and blacks in the world today.”

Two years after this Life article’s publication, Cuba (73 per cent white at the time) freely elected a Black (by U.S. standards) President, Fulgencio Batista!

Soledad O’Brien , by the way, is a Harvard graduate.

“No, no, no, no, NO!…Bogus!–UTTERLY BOGUS!..What you’re saying about pre-Castro Cuba is BOGUS!” (Reactionary Cuban-Cajun to Soledad O’Brien.)

(Entire video here.  My gig starts at 5 min. mark.)

“No J*DAS! CHICA!..Read my books THEN get back to me!”

“Humberto Fontova is a gifted polemicist who pulls no punches. A great service for liberty, justice and truth.” (The Weekly Standard  on Fidel; Hollywood’s Favorite Tyrant.)

“In his latest book my American warrior blood-brother Humberto Fontova once again performs the ultimate we the people duty of spotlighting cockroaches for a better America!” (Ted Nugent)

“Oye  señores! Pero lo de este Fontova ya no tiene nombre!…Mira que le encanta joder!”

H/T to Joe Lima for heads-up on life article 7 years ago.)

  1. Harvard graduate? Wait, is that supposed to mean something? Oh, I get it, you mean her parents could afford it.

  2. If Castro ever said something that wasn’t a lie, it was the fact that USA is to blame for Cuba’s destruction. Sure, the faux general-in-chief would say such things while rewriting history for the sake of self-agrandisment but his general statement was a reality nonetheless – a reality with details that neither side, USA nor Castrolandia, has any interest in divulging. At the end, both states produce propaganda.

From sending the CIA to clandestine arm/train Castro’s July 26 movement, to decades of echoing Castro’s own propaganda though US media, USA’s intrusive and complaisant role in Cuban affairs has been beyond embarrassing.

Naive were the Cubans who never saw it and moronic are those who truly believe an island nation just 90 miles away from Naval Air Station Key West, and with a US Naval Base RIGHT ON ITS SOIL, becomes a Soviet satellite state by “surprise” and by a mob of underpowered thugs with no military training.

Oh, yes, and all the Cubans who supported such capricious freak show for the gains of a crazy-eyed megalomaniac, they got what they deserved. Sadly, everyone lost the republic and had to pay for their imbecility, many generations later.
