Photo of the day: Revolutionary public toilet in Castrogonia

Revolutionary triumph
Revolutionary triumph

This public toilet was installed without a water tank.

It was built next to a food store that sells items on the Castro ration book in Manzanillo, former province of Oriente (now called Granma).

The only way to flush it is with a bucket of water.

Most users don’t bother to do that.

And there is no trash can.

Locals can smell it from far away, and it makes shopping at the food market an ordeal ….

58 years of Revolutionary progress.

Long live the Castro dynasty!

  1. That’s OK. If anybody gets sick from the filth, they have “free” health care, of sorts. As for the stench, they’re savages; they should be fine with that.
