Cuban graffiti artist Danilo Maldonado, El Sexto, arrives in Miami
Cuban graffiti artist Danilo Maldonado, “El Sexto,” arrived in Miami this Friday night after receiving permission from authorities on the island who had previously prevented him from leaving due to charges filed by his ex-wife.
El Sexto claims the Cuban authorities lied to him on Thursday when they took him to a residence so he could see his young daughter, but she was not there.
“It was just more psychological torture,” he told TVMartí.
Upon arriving at the Miami Airport, Maldonado advocated for the release of dissident director Eduardo Cardet and all the other Cuban political prisoners and reiterated that the life of Fidel Castro did not deserve respect.
“Neither does his brother,” he emphasized.
