Tweet of the Day – Former Obama advisor Ben Rhodes ‘whitesplains’ what is best Cuba policy to Cuban Americans

It was a tough day today for Ben Rhodes, a wannabe fiction writer who played in a major role in President Obama’s Cuba policy. In one fell swoop, President Trump reversed what Rhodes had claimed to be Obama’s “irreversible” Cuba policy.

Rhodes’ pettiness and bitterness manifested itself in a series of tweets. He condemned Cuban Americans for their refusal to adopt Obama’s policy of embracing apartheid in Cuba and “whitesplained” why he, a white coastal elite, knew better what is best for Cuba than Cubans, Cuban exiles, dissidents, human rights activists, and former political prisoners.

In his usual irreverent and humorous way, @Neontaster called him out on it:

  1. Right, because Ben Rhodes understands Cuba’s tragedy much better than its actual victims, “those people,” who should probably be neither seen nor heard, especially the latter. To loosely paraphrase Lady Macbeth, who would have thought such a schmuck would have so much presumption in him? He was always a bad joke, but now he’s not even a globito inflado–he’s nothing. Well, maybe the little balding loser can call up the Vatican for some grief counseling. Lord, the disdain.
