Tweets of the Day – Castro regime appears to be opening new SIGINT bases in Cuba

The same apartheid Castro regime President Obama ordered U.S. intelligence services to “share” information with appears to be opening new SIGINT (signals intelligence) bases in Cuba to surveil and gather intelligence on the U.S. This is also the same corrupt and terror-sponsoring regime who is an ally to Iran, North Korea, China, and Russia, all of which would pay the Castro dictatorship top dollar for any intelligence they can gather on us.

And finally, this is also the same brutally repressive and murderous dictatorship that the pro-apartheid Castro supporters here in the U.S. have been telling us we should be embracing and supporting.

  1. It’s OK. Cuba is not a threat. A major Cuba expert, who was officially taken as such at the highest levels for many years, said so repeatedly. Her name is Ana Belén Montes.

  2. Calling communism “apartheid” (institutionalized racial segregation) or “fascist” (fascists, who are fervent anti-communists, permit class mobility, private property, religious holidays, free travel…) is, not only inaccurate, but an absurd attempt at appealing to the very elements who knowingly overuse such terminology, the left.

Castro’s regime is neither apartheid nor fascist, it is staunchly communist and stalinist. That said, if “communism” doesn’t sound like shit, well, perhaps we should describe it by its true name.

  3. Gallardo, there is no intention here to relabel communism as “apartheid.” The intention is to expose the apartheid policies of Cuba’s communist dictatorship.

You are correct that “apartheid” is a buzzword for the left and they spit it out just as easily as they spit out “racist,” “sexist,” and “Nazi!” every time they run across someone that disagrees with them. Where they trip themselves up, however, is when they are forced to deal with the real racists and sexists in their own ranks.

  4. The left’s “morality” is strictly selective and opportunistic, so that what it applies pejoratively (and very aggressively) to the right by way of condemnation is effectively permissible, not to say justified, for itself. It obviously does not apply its standards consistently and uniformly–never has and never will. Yes, we can call out its often brazen hypocrisy, but just as it does with dictators, the left is very discriminating as to what hypocrisy is damnable and what is convenient, useful, and therefore perfectly acceptable as a means to a desired end. In other words, the left finds being full of it to be perfectly reasonable–for them.

As I’ve said before, the apartheid concept in the context of Cuba, let alone the issue of racism, will never get any traction no matter how apt or significant, not just because of the entrenched double-standard, but because Castro, Inc. has the perfect deflector shield–the Mandela connection. Again, it doesn’t matter what the reality of that connection was, just as it doesn’t matter what the reality of “free” health care or “education” is. The usual suspects couldn’t care less about the truth–it’s never been about that.
