Video of the Day – The more things ‘change’ in Cuba, the more they stay the same

After his older brother Fidel handed him the reins of power in 2008, Cuban dictator Raul Castro did not waste any time discrediting all the talking heads and “Cuba Experts” who swore the younger Castro was a “reformer.” Raul Castro has ruled Cuba with the same iron fist his brother ruled with and has continued the regime’s 58-year tradition of controlling virtually all aspects of life on the island through violent oppression, imprisoning dissidents, and assassinating Cubans who challenge their stranglehold on power.

Now with talk of Raul Castro “retiring” from his dictatorial post in 2018, all eyes are on his apparent successor, Miguel Diaz-Canel. And just like they did with Raul, the talking heads and “Cuba Experts” have been gushing about Diaz-Canel and how he will finally bring real “reform” and “change” to Cuba because he is, of course, a “reformer.”

Well, as the video below clearly indicates in Diaz-Canel’s own words, we can all see that the more things change in Cuba, the more they stay the same.

  1. Limosneros con escopeta… All communists are detestable scum but to say this trained parrot sounds “chusma” is perhaps an understatement. Meet Cuba’s Maduro. What a pest…
