Pope Francis scolds Trump again; still silent on Castro dictatorship

Not too happy

From our Vatican Plenary Indulgence Bureau:

Once again, Papa Che has come out swinging against an evil, heartless capitalist figure.

Yet, he remains totally silent on evil, heartless socialist and communist dictators.

Papa Che has condemned the Trumpinator for his elimination of the DACA carte blanche to illegal immigrant children.

Granted, he is constantly probed by the left-leaning press on issues such as this, so he can make pronouncements against those who don’t lean left.

In other words, he is provided with more opportunities to criticize capitalist democracies than leftist tyrannies.

So, journalists are partly responsible for prompting and reporting Papa Che’s swipes at capitalist democracies.

Yet, when he visits countries where there is plenty of heartless un-Christian totalitarian abuse of power going on, he says nothing, nada, nichts, zero, null, rien, niente…

Very happy

So, now he’s upset about Trump breaking up families.  Good.  No one should break up families.

But what about the Castro brothers, who have murdered THOUSANDS of Cubans and broken up HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of Cuban families, and continue to stifle all dissent on a regular basis?

Naaah.  The Castro’s may lean far to the left, but it seems that as far as Papa Che and the press is concerned, the Castro dynasty is on the right side of so-called liberation theology “social justice” and immune from criticism.

And during his recent visit to Colombia, the press reported zero instances of Papa Che scolding the FARC terrorists who have murdered and tortured thousands of Colombians and created innumerable orphans.

He might have said something… but if he did, the usual suspects in the news media seemed not to notice.

How funny: The camera always captures something that text cannot …

Very happy

Pope picks a fight with Trump saying president can’t be pro-life life if he ended DACA

Pope Francis has gone after President Trump over yet another controversial immigration issue, saying if the president is ‘pro-life’ then he should reconsider his order to rescind DACA.

The pontiff commented on the issue on a flight back to Rome from a trip to Colombia, saying the decision – which he noted remains firmly in Trump’s hands – should be ‘rethought.’

‘The President of the United States presents himself as pro-life and if he is a good pro-lifer, he understands that family is the cradle of life and its unity must be protected,” Pope Francis said.

The administration announced it is ending the Obama-era program, with six months to ‘wind down’ the program.  The president has urged Congress to solve the problem in the meantime.

The pope – who weighed in on Trump’s border wall during the campaign – may have been downplaying his knowledge of the U.S. political scene when he spoke about the process relating to the controversial decision.

“I think this law comes not from parliament but from the executive,” Pope Francis said. “If that is so, I am hopeful that it will be re-thought.”

His comment made clear it was within Trump’s power to reverse the decision.

  1. One of these days if Cuba is ever free, we should have a historical memory and not forget how totally f’ed-up our dear, deal latrine “brothers and sisters” have been with us. Papa che’s continued refusal to criticize the castro regime is a classic example. This is why I have very little solidarity with them and couldn’t give a rat’s derriere about DACA.

  2. Alas, the fantasy of Latrine solidarity was one illusion of José Martí, who spoke of “nuestra América” as if there was any real basis to such a concept (except, of course, as a purely theoretical notion). Latrines stink.
