  1. I’ve come across women like that in Spanish villages–they happened to be my relatives. I found them very impressive, considerably more than many women with much higher socioeconomic and educational level. They’re brought up to be tough as nails and work very hard, which they typically do their whole lives, and there’s absolutely no nonsense about them–they’re like magnificent farm animals.
