WHOO!–WHOO! “TAKE THAT!– you uppity latino ingrates!” But The New York Times’ Tom Friedman (who had a meltdown/tantrum on CNN last week railing against President Trump’s “racism” and “xenophobia”) had barely started venting his spleen against those insufferable Hispanic refugees.
No siree! Friedman’s rage against those loudmouthed , over-entitled and ungrateful “Latinos” and his passion for the U.S. Constitution and the rule of law was barely spent :
“One only hopes that this affair will remind the extremists among the Miami Cubans that they are not living in their own private country, that they cannot do whatever they please and that they may hate Fidel Castro more than they love the U.S. Constitution — but that doesn’t apply to the rest of us.”
WHOO!-WHOO! TAKE THAT! In other words: when they get here, dusky foreigner/immigrants should be grateful, should shut-up, and should meekly abide by the laws of the nation that provided them asylum, freedom and and opportunity! WHOO-WHOO! (Sure sounds like the kind of stuff I hear at Trump rallies?) WOW! And all that ranting by the same New York Times that’s been on a non-stop, multi-year tantrum/tear against Donald Trump’s (as both candidate and president) “xenophobia” and “nativism.” Alas! The NY Times’s righteous fury against those uppity Cuban-Americans still wasn’t spent:
“One also hopes that now that Ms. Reno has ended the kidnapping of Elian by the Miami Cubans, the other hard-nosed lady in the cabinet, Madeleine Albright, will end the Miami Cubans’ kidnapping of U.S. Cuba policy as well.”
Not to be outdone, in 2007 the subsequently Trump-bashing Washington Post ran the following cartoon celebrating Cuban-Americans’ expulsion from the U.S. en masse.
Note that a smiling Uncle Sam insults an American ethnic group (Cuban-Americans) as “nuisances” while forcibly expelling them from the nation in a rickety boat titled “Cuban-Americans,” while these scowling, elderly and Mafiosi-clad people scream “we demand a chance to interfere with the ’08 election!”
Cuban-Americans voted for Trump at a higher rate than did “White” Americans…In brief: us Cuban-Americans were “deplorable” WAY before it was COOL! No other ethnic group in American has caused so many heads to explode within the Democrat/Media complex! When it comes to “deplorables” WE (Cuban-Americans) ARE THE HISTORIC CHAMPIONS!!!
